Network Troubleshooting
“The Network is Slow !”
This is a comment heard by every network administrator. Network Protocol Specialists
will identify
the cause of the network delay or outage and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Two methods of problem resolution are available:
Remote troubleshooting services. If analysis tools are already
available onsite, NPS can
remotely connect to these devices through the Internet using the GotoMeeting service.
Onsite troubleshooting services. An experienced
network analyst will arrive fully equipped with
the latest network analysis and troubleshooting equipment. After the problem is resolved, a report
detailing the problem and the troubleshooting process will be delivered.
Pre-deployment Application Analysis
New applications are often deployed without first checking the health of the network.
As part of
this service an assessment of current network infrastructure and traffic will be conducted.
Unnecessary traffic, top protocols, top hosts, and sources of packet loss will be identified.
After the analysis has been completed a report will be delivered outlining the results
of the analysis
and any recommendations based on the findings.
Application Analysis
Applications running on a Local Area Network often experience degraded performance
when
deployed across a Wide Area Network. Network Protocol Specialists will determine the cause of
the poor performance and recommend steps to improve responsiveness. Before investing a new
oftware application, it is important that the it be analyzed to predict how it will perform in your
network environment.
